(verbatim u/hbheroinbob's famous DIY parts post)
edit's for sales applicable to ringerkeys.com

Disclaimer about raw parts:

Parts are manufactured to strict tolerances, but even so, occasionally a defective unit gets thru

  • Bases - 2-3% (faulty leafs - slightly out of alignment impacting tactile feel)

  • Tops - 1-2% (malformed lock leg, or rubbing leaf guard plate in stem cutout)

  • Stems - have not seen any fault issues worth noting

  • Springs - have not seen any fault issues worth noting

-adjust your order accordingly, -Dan

I add a couple extra parts to anticipate these issues; as a result there are a non-matched total qty of parts (example - a couple extra springs, 2x bases extra, 2x tops extra and 1x stem extra)

Before assuming I shorted you, please count your total qty of parts and compare to your invoice.

Please watch either of the 2 links (Jun Keebs or Kirball Keyboards) re: safe/correct assembly -- THE STEM MUST BE PRESSED DOWN TO CLEAR THE LEAF BEFORE YOU SNAP THE TOP ON. If you don't do as directed, you will damage leaf tactility and have inconsistent tactile feel and/or premature switch failure.

    Bases

    • Boba Black - $.25/ea

      • Tactile leaf (Black subject to ticking with long post stems)

      • New Plastic (quieter than Nylon PA66 plastic, smooth as Polycarbonate)

      • 5-leg PCB Mount (can be downgraded to 3-leg Plate Mount by clipping off the 2 legs)

      • Inherently mutes ping noise, but I still suggest lubing spring bottoms for maximum ping suppression

      • Universal bases - works well in all plates

    Tops - $.15/ea

    • Black (with-slot ==[ ]==)

      • Tight tolerance

      • Thru-hole leds or SMD leds (shines up thru [ ] in top slot)

      • Color matched to Boba bases

    • Clear (no-slot)

      • Tight tolerance

      • SMD LEDS or no leds

    • Clear (with-slot) <<< USED FOR GATERON AND JWK/DUROCK stems

      • Slightly relaxed tolerance around stems

      • Thru-hole leds or SMD leds

      • Commonly used on Gateron bases w/ Gateron stems to reduce "resting-state" wobble

    Stems

    • "U4" silent tactile, white $.25/ea

      • Spring range

        • 55g-68g (Boba, Pink, and SKY base)

      • "D" bump profile (no pretravel, all bump, no post-bump travel)

    • "U4T" THOCKY U4 tactile, gold $.25/ea

      • "D" bump profile (no pretravel, all bump, no post-bump travel)

      • Spring range

        • 55g-68g (Boba, Pink, and SKY base)

    • Silver Silent linear $.25/ea

      • SILENT LINEAR (v1.0)

      • Spring range

        • 52g-78g (Boba or Pink base - retooling not required)

        • 52g-78g (Sky or blue ice base - Retooling with 2.35mm bit required)

      • Best paired with Linear bases and tight tolerance tops

    Lube

    oh yeah, we got lube

excerpts from old listing, still pertinent,
Sold individually, 1 quantity means 1 stem - add the according amount to your cart!

Calling all tinkerers, veteran and new alike.

For those of you looking for a silent linear typing experience, without the mushiness of some other silent switches on the market. These silent linear stems were born out of passion and experimentation by Gazzew/hbheroinbob.

Curious about how to use them?

Deadeye on Keebtalk put together some frankenswitches and comparison photos.

Taehatypes used some prototypes in Boba housings in a TCV3.

Gazzew himself put together a guide on how to thin out lube, and lube his silent switches as well!
